Visualization of the 3D Dosimetry for a Leipzig Brachytherapy Applicator Using 3D Slicer
appropriate distance for the sources to be placed from the skin surface. The trajectories which the sources would take were then drawn, with uniform separation, on this surface. The mould was completed by extending the surface further and then subtracting the trajectories. The complete STL file was then sent to the printer for fabrication by the Stratasys Objet500 Connex1 printer, and printed u...
متن کاملGroup-Slicer: A collaborative extension of 3D-Slicer
In this paper, we describe a first step towards a collaborative extension of the well-known 3D-Slicer; this platform is nowadays used as a standalone tool for both surgical planning and medical intervention. We show how this tool can be easily modified to make it collaborative so that it may constitute an integrated environment for expertise exchange as well as a useful tool for academic purposes.
متن کاملVolumetric CT-based segmentation of NSCLC using 3D-Slicer
Accurate volumetric assessment in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is critical for adequately informing treatments. In this study we assessed the clinical relevance of a semiautomatic computed tomography (CT)-based segmentation method using the competitive region-growing based algorithm, implemented in the free and public available 3D-Slicer software platform. We compared the 3D-Slicer segmen...
متن کامل3D VMAT Verification Based on Monte Carlo Log File Simulation with Experimental Feedback from Film Dosimetry
A model based on a specific phantom, called QuAArC, has been designed for the evaluation of planning and verification systems of complex radiotherapy treatments, such as volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT). This model uses the high accuracy provided by the Monte Carlo (MC) simulation of log files and allows the experimental feedback from the high spatial resolution of films hosted in QuAArC...
